Spellbinding in White: Selena Gomez Shines Beside Beau Benny Blanco on the Red Carpet

SelenŠ° Gomez was the center of attention at the 30th Annual SAG Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday night. The 31-year-old actress, known for her Hulu show “Only Murders in The Building,” looked absolutely stunning in a white gown adorned with transparent sequins that shimmered under the bright lights of the red carpet. To add a pop of color to her outfit, she had her nails painted in a shiny red shade. Her beautiful brunette hair was elegantly styled in voluminous curls that cascaded down her back, a look inspired by Cindy Crawford as revealed by her hairstylist, Marissa Marino.

Selena Gomez stole the show at the 30th Annual SAG Awards in Los Angeles over the weekend. Marissa revealed that they took inspiration from a 90’s Cindy Crawford vibe, using tools from Kristin Ess Hair and products from Fekkai to create Selena’s stunning look.

Selena’s makeup featured a radiant glow on her complexion, glossy nude lips, and captivating brown eyes accentuated with a blend of black and brown eyeshadows. Her manicure had an old Hollywood glam with a twist, courtesy of nail artist Tom Bachik using tools from Tom Bachik x Tweezerman and two coats of Essie’s Gel Couture polish in VIPlease.

Despite her boyfriend, music producer Benny Blanco, not being present at the event, Selena confidently walked the red carpet solo. The couple recently made their relationship public in December after dating quietly for six months.

Benny’s absence at the SAG Awards followed a recent incident where he was escorted off the red carpet at the Emmys, despite being Selena’s plus-one. The awkward moment was captured on camera, showing security closing in on Blanco as Selena proceeded with her team.

After a 118-day strike, the Screen Actors Guild honored the best performers in film and television at the 30th Annual SAG Awards. Winners were chosen by SAG-AFTRA members voting for their favorites in various categories. Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani announced the nominations earlier this year on Instagram Live, with Barbie and Oppenheimer leading the film nominations with four nods each.

The 31-year-old actress, nominated for her role in the popular Hulu series “Only Murders in the Building,” exuded glamour as she gracefully posed in a stunning white gown for the cameras.

The elegant gown shimmered under the bright lights as it was adorned with translucent sequins on the red carpet.

Actresses Margot Robbie from Barbie and Emma Stone from Poor Things are nominees for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.

Bradley Cooper from Maestro and Cillian Murphy from Oppenheimer are also contenders for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role.

Ryan Gosling, known for his role as Ken in Barbie, is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, competing against Sterling K. Brown, Willem Dafoe, Robert De Niro, and Robert Downey Jr.

The popular HBO Max drama series Succession received the most nominations with a total of five nods.

Stars Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin, and Matthew Macfadyen from the series are all nominees for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.

Sarah Snook is also nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series.

The series will also compete for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series against The Crown, The Gilded Age, The Last of Us, and The Morning Show.

To add a burst of color, the Disney Channel alum showed off a shiny red manicure. Comedy series Ted Lasso and The Bear also snagged four nominations each. All three are in the running for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Netflix plans to broadcast the ceremony live for the first time, as last year’s awards were streamed on Netflix’s YouTube channel.

The awards come shortly after SAG-AFTRA reached a deal with film studios following months of strikes centered around payment in the streaming era and concerns about artificial intelligence. The strike began on July 25, 2023, and a tentative agreement was reached on November 8, officially concluding on December 5, 2023, with a 78% approval rating.

Although there were disagreements over the final terms, the resolution brought a sigh of relief for union leaders and the entertainment industry after a challenging period of strikes. The boycott coincided with the WGA strike, which took place from May 2 to September 27.
